In the world of instant beverages and single-serve convenience, packaging size is everything — and our Coffee Stick Pack delivers maximum brand presence in a remarkably compact 10mm x 120mm footprint. This ultra-narrow vertical format has become the global standard for instant coffee, sugar, creamer, and powdered beverage sachets, dominating hotel minibars, airline meal trays, office coffee stations, and vending machine channels worldwide.
What makes the stick pack format uniquely efficient is its fill-to-seal ratio: the narrow tube shape allows nearly 95% fill volume utilization with minimal headspace, dramatically reducing packaging material per gram of product compared to flat sachets. For brands, this translates directly to lower per-unit cost and reduced shipping volume — a 30% freight saving is typical when switching from flat sachets to stick packs of equivalent fill weight.
Each stick pack features a precision laser-scored tear notch at the top edge, engineered to produce a clean, straight tear that opens the entire top seal in one motion — no jagged edges, no product spillage. The three-side sealed sachet variant, at 60x80mm, offers a wider canvas for brand graphics while maintaining the same high-barrier aluminum foil construction. Both formats are compatible with high-speed vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) packaging lines capable of 400-600 packs per minute, making them the cost-efficient choice for brands scaling from boutique production to mass-market distribution.
Ideal applications include instant coffee sticks, sugar and sweetener sachets, powdered creamer portions, hot chocolate singles, protein powder travel packs, and electrolyte drink mix sachets. Primary channels: hotel supply chains, airline catering, office coffee service providers, convenience store chains, and direct-to-consumer sample marketing programs.

The stick pack format presents a unique printing challenge: fitting compelling brand graphics onto a surface just 10mm wide. We solve this with high-definition narrow-web rotogravure printing that achieves exceptional sharpness at micro-scale — text remains crisp and legible even at 4pt font sizes, and metallic ink formulations deliver a premium shimmer effect that catches light on retail displays despite the compact surface area.
Our inline printing process synchronizes with the vertical form-fill-seal packaging line, allowing real-time color registration adjustment during high-speed production runs of up to 600 packs per minute. The metallic silver base film can be printed with translucent inks to create depth effects, or opaque whites can be laid down first for vibrant color pop on solid backgrounds.
For the larger 60x80mm sachet format, we offer the full range of gravure finishes including matte overcoat for a soft-touch feel and registered spot gloss for logo highlighting — critical for standing out in hotel minibar trays and office coffee stations where consumers make split-second brand choices.
The lining of stick packs and sachets must perform an especially demanding job: protecting hygroscopic (moisture-absorbing) powders like instant coffee and sugar from humidity while withstanding the mechanical stress of high-speed filling at 400-600 units per minute.
Our multi-layer composite achieves this through a precisely engineered aluminum foil core — 7 to 9 microns of pure aluminum providing a near-absolute moisture and oxygen barrier with WVTR (Water Vapor Transmission Rate) below 0.1 g/m²/day. This is sandwiched between an outer PET print layer and an inner PE sealant layer, all bonded with solvent-free adhesives for food safety compliance.
The inner PE layer uses a specially formulated low-seal-initiation-temperature (low-SIT) resin that forms a hermetic seal at lower jaw temperatures and shorter dwell times than standard PE — a critical advantage for high-speed VFFS production that reduces energy consumption and increases throughput. The result is an individually portioned package that keeps instant coffee as fresh on day 365 as it was on day one, even in tropical humidity conditions.
